Top Destinations for Buying Pet Products

As a pet owner, I’m always on the lookout for affordable pet supplies since they can be surprisingly expensive. It’s frustrating when dog shampoo costs two to four times more than my own. Whether you have a dog or a cat, toys can add up quickly as they tend to go through them fast. Ever since we started our pet-sitting business a few years back and got our own dog, I’ve become even more determined to find quality supplies that don’t break the bank.

When shopping for pet supplies, online sites like Amazon usually come to mind first. While Amazon sometimes offers good deals, I’ve often found better prices elsewhere. There are four retail outlets that consistently offer great bargains: TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Ross, and HomeGoods. Depending on where you live, these stores can provide excellent value and a wide range of pet products. It’s a bonus when two of these stores are in the same shopping area. HomeGoods might not be your first thought for pet supplies, but it often has a surprisingly good selection at reasonable prices.

Here’s a general idea of what I typically find at these stores:
– TJ Maxx: Dog beds, shampoo, healthy treats, collars, balls, and sturdy chew toys.
– Marshalls: Chew toys, healthy treats, balls, and dog outfits.
– Ross: Dog and cat treats, plus some dog clothing.
– HomeGoods: Dog and cat beds with unique designs, treats, bowls, dog clothes, and chew bones.

Of course, availability can vary, but I usually find what I need without spending too much. If you prefer shopping online, Chewy is a fantastic option. I’ve found almost everything I need for dog training there, like harnesses and different types of collars and leashes. I also buy beds, blankets, toys, and even puppy food on Chewy, especially when they have sales.

A tip I use with Chewy is to add items I’m interested in to my cart and then check back in a few days to see if they’re on sale. Even though Chewy is my go-to for most things, sometimes Amazon has better deals. Recently, I bought the Dexas MudBuster Portable Paw Washer on Amazon at a lower price. It’s great for keeping paws clean, and it’s always worth shopping around for the best price.

In short, there are lots of places to find quality pet products without spending a fortune. I highly recommend checking out TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Ross, HomeGoods, Chewy, and Amazon. Exploring these options should help you get all your pet’s needs met without overspending.
